NEW FEATURES
  • On-Demand Command & OTA, devices can now request pending commands or OTA updates upon connecting via MQTT. A new option in the device template enables this behavior – when activated, all commands and OTA messages are queued until the device explicitly requests them through identity messages.
  • Bulk Entity Creation, the platform now includes an interface for creating entities in bulk. With the Bulk Upload feature, users can create up to 1,000 entities in a single operation, simplifying large-scale setup and configuration
  • SageMaker Connector Integration, the platform now supports an integrated SageMaker Connector, enabling users to upload their custom ML modules that process incoming data and generate results. The system automatically converts PyTorch models to TensorFlow Lite format for optimized performance and reduced model size. Deployments are performed seamlessly through a CloudFormation script, which establishes a secure bridge between /IOTCONNECT™ and the customer’s AWS SageMaker account.
  • The Module Library serves as a centralized repository containing all global and ready-to-use modules, promoting collaboration and accelerating solution development.
  • DocumentDB Connector, the platform now provides a DocumentDB Connector that allows users to stream all telemetry data directly into their Amazon DocumentDB instance. Once the connector is configured, telemetry data will automatically sync to the user’s DocumentDB database for storage, analysis, or downstream processing.
  • Certificate Rotation Policy, templates now include a new setting to configure the certificate rotation policy. Users can specify the number of days after which a device must request a new certificate. Based on this desired setting, the platform will notify the device over MQTT to initiate the certificate renewal process.
Note: This feature applies only to auto-generated certificates.
  • Child Device Import, added support for bulk importing child devices under gateway devices. This enhancement streamlines the onboarding process for hierarchical device setups by allowing users to define and import child–gateway relationships during device creation.
  • Custom Fields & Properties, introduced support for creating custom fields and managing device-level properties. This enhancement enables users to associate additional metadata with their devices, offering greater flexibility in device configuration and data organization.
  • Primary/Secondary Certificates, added support for managing both primary and secondary device certificates. When a device installs and connects using a secondary certificate, the platform automatically detects the scenario, promotes the secondary certificate to primary, and discards the old primary certificate.
  • Analytics Summary Widget, introduced a new widget that allows users to create KPI metrics based on device data. It supports data aggregation and provides graphical representations for quick insights and analysis.
  • Word Cloud Widget, added a new widget that visualizes the most frequently occurring terms from device data or user-defined fields. The widget highlights keyword prominence through size and weight, enabling quick identification of patterns, trends, and key insights.
ENHANCEMENTS
  • Greengrass Deployment Enhancements, the platform now includes extended Greengrass deployment capabilities. Users can revise or delete existing deployments and perform deployments at multiple levels – including templates, entities, device groups, or individual devices – for greater flexibility and control.
  • Artifact Management, enhanced artifact validation has been introduced as part of the Component creation workflow. The platform now enforces strict checks to ensure that all artifacts referenced in the recipe file match the artifacts defined in the Component. If any discrepancies are found, the user interface will display clear messages to help users identify and resolve issues before deployment
  • Historical Data Optimization, reduced data loading time for retrieving historical records, delivering a faster and smoother user experience.
BUG FIXES
  • Various UI improvements and minor bug fixes have been implemented to enhance the overall user experience.
  • Fixed an map issue and notification count issues in dashbaord
FCDR*
  • Deprecation of SDK Identities (SID) – Removed SID entries from Key Vault along with all associated functionality. The system will no longer allow creation of new SIDs. Existing customers using SID will continue to receive support; however, they are strongly advised to remove SID implementation from their devices by 31-Dec-2026.

* FCDR – FUNCTIONAL CHANGE / DEPRECATION / RESTRICTION
