NEW FEATURES
  • On-Demand Command & OTA, devices can now request pending commands or OTA updates upon connecting via MQTT. A new option in the device template enables this behavior – when activated, all commands and OTA messages are queued until the device explicitly requests them through identity messages.
  • Cloud Template, Devices can now communicate without a predefined template. A Cloud Template is automatically created from incoming device data, and the device is marked as Unassociated. Conversion of the Cloud Template to a standard template is required to enable bidirectional communication.
  • Added support for bulk entity import with multi-level (n-level) hierarchical entities in a single operation. Additionally, performance improvements have been implemented for the Entity module
ENHANCEMENTS
  • Added a Quick Filter feature to all major grids. Users can now perform quick searches on selected fields and customize which fields are included in the search.
  • Introduced an OTA update acknowledgment event. Users can subscribe to receive webhook notifications when a device acknowledges an OTA update.
  • All device-related widgets now allow users to choose the display format. Users can select whether to show the local name or the display name based on their preference.
  • Added support for an ARRAY data type in template attributes to handle nested JSON telemetry. Rules cannot be applied to this data type.
  • When the Custom Connector for Cosmos DB is enabled, the platform allows configuration of the data to be exported to the custom Cosmos DB instance. Users can selectively configure the export of error telemetry, command history, and device diagnostics data.
  • Enforced child device name uniqueness within a gateway device. The platform now prevents duplicate child device names under the same gateway. However, the same child device name can exist across different gateway devices.
  • Added support for configurable grid columns. Users can show/hide columns and save preferences per grid.
  • Extended the maximum supported command parameter length for cloud-to-device messages to 10,000 characters, allowing more complex and data-rich commands.
  • Improved cloud-to-device command feedback mechanism to provide immediate status updates upon successful command delivery.

FIXES
  • Various UI enhancements and minor bug fixes have been implemented to improve the overall user experience.
FCDR*
  • Deprecation Notice: Support for the “Token” authentication type in templates and devices has been discontinued for new configurations. Existing templates and devices using this authentication type will continue to be supported.
